PPG Desothane® HS CA8211/FS#32356 is a high solids polyurethane topcoat in colour FS#32356, used to protect the exteriors of military aircraft and land based defence equipment. With low VOC, it provides excellent UV resistance, long term durability and excellent fluid resistance, and gives a matte finish below 5 gloss units at 60°.

Typical Properties
- Mix ratio (by volume, base:activator): CA8211 base 3 : CA8200B activator 1
- Induction time: not required
- Pot life: 2 hours at 21–25 °C (70–77 °F)
- VOC (ASTM): mixed <420 g/L
Application
- Application conditions: 15–35 °C (59–95 °F), 30–85% relative humidity
- Apply one or two double track coats; recommended dry film thickness 35–55 µm (1.4–2.2 mil)
Cure
- At 23 °C (73 °F), 50% RH: dry to tape 10–14 hours; full cure 7 days
- At 60 °C: full cure 3 hours; at 90 °C: full cure 2 hours
Packaging and Shelf Life
- CA8211 base and CA8200B activator: 24 months in original unopened container; storage 5–35 °C (41–95 °F)
