PPG Desothane® HS CA8800CT3 is the thinner component of the Desothane® HS CA8800 buffable polyurethane topcoat system. It is one of six CA8800CT-series thinners, which differ by dry time and pot life; CA8800CT3 gives a pot life of approximately 45 minutes.

- Thinner component of the three-part CA8800 system (base / CA8800Z activator / CA8800CT thinner)
- Pot life approx. 45 minutes at 21–25 °C (CT 3 h, CTR 3 h, CT1 2 h, CT2 1 h, CT4 30 min)
- Required to ensure adequate pot life and spray properties
Use
- Mix ratio for gloss colors by volume: 2 parts base, 1 part CA8800Z activator, 1 part CA8800CT thinner
- Add the thinner while mixing and keep constant agitation for 10 minutes
- Recommended application conditions: 15–30 °C, 20–90% relative humidity
