PPG DeSoto® 528X310 is a conventional-solids, carbon-filled epoxy coating with controlled conductive properties, used to obtain high surface conductivity on non-conductive composite substrates. It is compatible with Desothane® HS topcoats, has excellent adhesion to composite surfaces and excellent fluid resistance. Surface resistivity 0.1 to 100,000 ohms per square; service temperature −54 to 177 °C (−65 to 350 °F).

Mixing and Application
- Mix ratio by volume: 528X310 base 1 : 910X464 activator 1; no induction time; pot life 4 hours at 21–25 °C
- Over clean, dry, intact composite surfaces; apply at 15–30 °C and 20–90% RH in one medium coat to 15–25 µm (0.6–1.0 mil)
- Theoretical coverage 6.6 m²/L at 25 µm; colour black
Drying Times (22–28 °C)
- Dust free 15 min; tack free 2 hours; dry through 4 hours; overcoat 4–24 hours; full cure 7 days
- Accelerated: 15 min flash-off + 30–45 min at 60 °C
Storage
- Mixed VOC 700 g/L; shelf life 12 months to most OEM specifications, 24 months to PRC-DeSoto standard; store at 5–35 °C
