PPG P99 is a two pack, ambient curing chromated wash primer designed to protect aircraft exteriors. It gives high resistance to filiform corrosion and adheres well to polyurethane primers, a variety of light alloys and steel. 7641/3600 is the base component of the system.

Mixing and Application
- By volume 7641/3600 base 1 : 0841/9000 acid catalyst 1; thin to viscosity with 0434/9000 thinner
- Induction time 15–30 min; pot life 8 hours at 21–25 °C
- Apply at 15–30 °C, 30–75% RH; not suitable for electrostatic or airless equipment
- Dry film thickness 4–8 µm; theoretical coverage 15 m²/L at 6 µm
- Do not apply over chromate conversion coatings less than 7 days old

- Colour yellow; dust free 20 min; overcoat 1–24 hours; full cure 7 days
- Mixed VOC 755 g/L; base flash point 13 °C
- Shelf life base and catalyst 24 months; store at 5–35 °C
