PPG T17 is the thinner component of the two pack EC75 epoxy topcoat system designed to protect internal structures. For spray application it is added as required after the base and activator are mixed; no thinner is used for brush application (ACT69). EC75 is applied over epoxy and polyurethane primers and offers high chemical resistance and resistance to aircraft fluids including phosphate ester hydraulic fluid. EC75 is qualified to DEF STAN 80-161 and MSRR9064.
Use
- Mix ratio by volume: EC75 base 1, ACT65/66/67/68 activator 1, T17 thinner 0.5–1 (full gloss, semi gloss, eggshell, matt)
- No induction time required; mixed pot life 8 hours at 21–25 °C
- Recommended dry film thickness 25–35 µm
