PR-1422 Class A is an aircraft integral fuel tank sealant designed for brush sealing of fasteners in fuel tanks and other airframe sealing applications. It has a service temperature range of -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 275°F (135°C).
PR-1422 Class A is a two-part, dichromate cured polysulfide compound. The uncured material is suitable for brush application up to 25 mils thick. It cures at room temperature to form a flexible sealant with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates and retains excellent elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline (avgas).
