PPG PR-1440 Class A is an aircraft integral fuel tank sealant. Service temperature is −54 to 121 °C, with intermittent excursions up to 135 °C. It is designed for brush sealing of fasteners in fuel tanks and other fuselage sealing applications, and maintains elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline. It is a two-part, manganese dioxide cured polysulfide applied by brush in thicknesses up to 25 mils, curing at room temperature. Tests are run to AMS-S-8802 Class A methods.
