PPG PR-1773 Class A is a low-adhesion, chromate-free, corrosion-inhibitive sealant with a service temperature range of −55 °C to 121 °C (−67 °F to 250 °F) and intermittent excursions up to 149 °C (300 °F). It is designed as an access door sealant and can also protect electrical wires, terminals and equipment against fuel, moisture, dirt and short circuits. A two-part, manganese dioxide cured polysulphide, it is brushable and will not drip or flow from vertical or overhead surfaces once applied around fasteners. The A-2 grade has a 2-hour application life.

- Application life 2 hours; tack-free 12 hours; cure to 30 Shore A 48 hours

- Low peel strength (easy removal): alclad 2024 aluminium 0.2 N/mm; stainless steel and titanium 0.1 N/mm
- Tensile strength 1.5 MPa; elongation 240%
- Excellent resistance to water, alcohols, synthetic and petroleum-based lubricating oils and petroleum-based hydraulic fluids
- Corrosion: no corrosion after 5000 hours salt spray or galvanic cell testing (Al/stainless, Al/titanium, Al/cadmium-plated steel); no cracking at −55 °C
