PPG PR-1776 Class A AS is a low-density, high-temperature integral fuel tank sealant: a two-part, manganese dioxide cured PERMAPOL® P-5 modified polysulfide. Class A is brushable; A-2 denotes a 2-hour application life.
Features
- Service temperature -55 to 95 °C (-67 to 203 °F), intermittent to 180 °C (356 °F)
- For fillet sealing of fuel tanks and other fuselage sealing; does not drip from vertical or overhead surfaces once applied around fasteners
- Retains elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline
- Room-temperature cure; excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates

- Flexible at -55 °C; excellent repairability; PR-148 AF recommended as adhesion promoter
