PPG PR-1776M Class B is a low density, high temperature aircraft integral fuel tank sealant. Service temperature is −54 to 121 °C, with very limited excursions up to 182 °C. It is designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and other fuselage applications, and offers up to 20% weight savings per unit volume over traditional sealants. It is a two-part, manganese dioxide cured Permapol® P-5 modified polysulfide and a direct replacement for PR-1776 Class B. Tests are run to AMS 3281 and BMS 5-45 methods.
