PR-1782 Class A is a low density, aircraft fuel tank and general purpose sealant. It has a service temperature range of -54°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F). This material is designed for brush sealing fasteners in fuel tanks and other airframe sealing applications. It provides thirty percent weight savings per unit volume compared to conventional sealants used for these purposes. Cured sealant retains excellent elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gasoline (avgas) and resists limited contact with diphosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids.
PR-1782 Class A is a two component, manganese dioxide cured polysulfide sealant. Uncured material is suitable for brush application up to 25 mil thickness. It cures at room temperature to form a flexible sealant with excellent adhesion to common aircraft surfaces.
