PPG PR-1826 Class A is a two-part, rapid curing, polythioether based integral fuel tank sealant. It is applied by brush in thicknesses up to 0.6 mm (25 mils) without dripping or flowing from vertical or overhead surfaces, and cures at temperatures down to −18 °C. When primed with PR-1826 Adhesion Promoter it adheres to common aircraft materials. The cured sealant resists 149 °C, and 216 °C for short exposures, and stays flexible down to −62 °C. It resists aviation fuels, petroleum based oils and diphosphate ester type hydraulic fluids.
