PR-184 is an advanced one-part sealant adhesion promoter and surface cleaner for use on metal and solvent resistant coatings. It contains a non-toxic ester-based solvent blend compounded with a surface activator agent and an indicator dye. It does not soften finishes, is an effective soil remover and degreaser, and leaves no surface residues. Application
- Clean surfaces with solvent immediately before application, using a new lint-free cloth conforming to AMS 3819; dry with a second clean cloth before the solvent evaporates.
- Apply a thin coat of PR-184; after drying, wipe off the excess and start the sealing procedure.
- If the surface becomes contaminated or sealing is not done within 4 hours, repeat the priming procedure.
- Where solvent crazing is a concern (e.g. acrylic), consider PR-142 instead.
Packaging and Shelf Life
- At least 6 months below 27 °C (80 °F) in original, unopened containers
- Hygroscopic; keep free from moisture and discard if it becomes cloudy or a precipitate forms.
