PPG PR-1827 R-1/6 is a flowable, rapid curing compound designed for sealing the faying surfaces of integral fuel tanks and pressurised cabins. Service temperature is −55 to 150 °C. The cured product maintains elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel, aviation gasoline and petroleum based lubricating oils. It is a two-part, chemically cured Permapol® P-3 polythioether applied by brush or roller that cures rapidly at room temperature to a fuel resistant elastomer. With PR-149 adhesion promoter it adheres well to alclad, titanium, stainless steel, coated surfaces and sealant.

- Peel (with PR-149 primer, 7 days) 8 N/mm on topcoat and primer, 100% cohesive
- Lap shear (7 days) 3.2 MPa on alclad 2024 aluminium
- No cracking or loss of adhesion at −55 °C
