PPG PS 870 Class C is a corrosion inhibitive sealant. Service temperature is −54 to 121 °C, with intermittent excursions up to 135 °C. It is an effective barrier against the common causes of corrosion on aluminium alloys and between dissimilar metals, and maintains elastomeric properties after limited exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline. It is a two-part, manganese dioxide cured polysulfide designed for roller and faying surface sealing. Tests are run to MIL-PRF-81733 Type IV and OEM specification methods.
