ROYCO® 783 is a red, petroleum based, low viscosity hydraulic fluid and preservative oil developed to meet the severe duty demands of military and industrial equipment. Its additives provide high oxidation and shear stability, rust and corrosion inhibition and antiwear protection. It is designated as a P-15 corrosion protectant under MIL-STD-2073-1C. It is recommended for aircraft, missile and ordnance systems using synthetic sealing material, heavy-duty construction equipment and industrial robotic hydraulic systems, and especially for artillery recoil mechanisms, hydraulics in rotary weapons systems and armoured vehicles. Operating temperature is −40 to 135 °C. It should not be used in systems with natural rubber elastomers.
