MOLYKOTE High-Vacuum Grease is a stiff, non-melting silicone lubricating material of silicone oil with an inorganic thickener. It reduces wear in plastic-to-metal and rubber-to-metal contact, has low volatility and offers excellent resistance to water, chemicals and high and low temperatures.

- No melting point; bleed < 0.5% and evaporation < 2.0% (24 h, 200 °C)
- White to grey, translucent; unworked penetration 170–230
- Insoluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, glycol and glycerine
- Resistant to most aqueous solutions of inorganic salts and dilute acids and alkalies
Applications
- Sealing vacuum and pressure systems
- Plug valves, control valves, flow meter bearings and ceramic plug cocks
- Synthetic rubber gaskets and seals in high-temperature applications
- Seals and lubricates chemical processing and water treating equipment
