Dow Corning 230 Fluid is an alkylaryl siloxane mould release agent used to release plastic and rubber components and as an external lubricant for rubber parts in mechanical applications. It gives excellent release with little or no interference with painting, coating or bonding of cleaned substrates.

- Viscosity 1,125–1,645 cSt at 25 °C; specific gravity 1.000–1.012
- Flash point min. 93 °C (closed cup)
- Usually diluted to 0.5–2.0% in aromatic, aliphatic or chlorinated solvents for spraying or brushing

- Mould release of rubber and plastic components
- External lubricant for rubber parts in mechanical applications
Notes
- Clean parts before subsequent coating or bonding. Shelf life: 36 months at 15–40 °C.
