Hernon Tuffbond 317 is a two-component (A: epoxy, B: amine), room temperature cure system. By changing the ratio of resin and hardener, the cured adhesive can range from tough and flexible to hard and rigid. It combines hardness and flexibility with high chemical and solvent resistance. It is recommended for bonding metal, glass, wood, concrete and rubber, and can be used for potting and encapsulation of electrical and electronic components.

- At A:B 1:1: working life at 22 °C (20 g) ≤150 minutes; hardness Shore D 60–70; Tg 64.7 °C
- At A:B 2:1: working life at 22 °C (20 g) ≤120 minutes; hardness Shore D 70–80; Tg 108.8 °C
- Lap shear strength (ASTM D1002, cured 24 hours at 22 °C, A:B 1:1): grit-blasted steel 2000–4000 psi; grit-blasted aluminum >3,000 psi
Application
- Not recommended for pure oxygen and/or oxygen-rich systems, chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials

- Store in a cool, dry location in unopened containers at 7–29 °C (45–85 °F) unless otherwise labeled
