Hernon® Tuffbond 394 is a single component, high temperature resistant, heat activated epoxy. It cures to a high-performance thermoset system with excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, and changes from amber-yellow to reddish brown on cure. It needs no mixing, has no pot life and is solventless; it does not slip during cure, cures without porosity, has low water absorption and is very rigid. It is a practical alternative to two component epoxies for voice coil to cone bonding where temperature resistance above 93 °C is required.
