Zip-Chem® Sur-Prep® AR-58 is a solvent blend adhesive remover. It penetrates various adhesives and softens them quickly, removing adhesive from various substrates including metal, porous surfaces and paper. It evaporates completely, leaving no residue that would interfere with future bonding, and does not remain embedded in porous surfaces.
Use
- Aerosol: apply to the adhesive and keep it dampened until it becomes tacky; then wipe off with a rag or scrape off with a straight edge
- Towelette: unfold and wipe over the adhesive, continuing until the adhesive is completely removed
- Can also be used for contact cleaning and general cleaning and degreasing; the aerosol can be used with Formit® extensions for hard-to-reach areas
- Test on a small area to ensure compatibility with plastics
