Metil etil keton (MEK) olarak da adlandırılan bütanon, CH3C(O)CH2CH3 kimyasal formülüne sahip,renksiz, sıvı formda olan  organik bir bileşiktir.

Butanone, also called methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), is a colorless, liquid organic compound with the chemical formula CH3C (O) CH2CH3. This organic compound has a sharp but sweet scent similar to that of caramel and acetone. It is produced industrially in large quantities and is found in nature in small quantities. It is well soluble in water and is widely used as an industrial solvent.
