Momentive SS4004P, SS4044P, SS4120, SS4155 and SS4179 are one-component, ready-to-use primers supplied as pourable solvent solutions to promote adhesion of Momentive RTV silicone adhesive sealants to difficult-to-bond substrates. For most two-component products, a primer is required for bonding to non-silicone surfaces.
Features
- SS4004P and SS4044P: adhesion to metals (aluminium, copper, steel, stainless steel, brass, galvanised), porous materials, unglazed ceramics and wood
- SS4004P is bright pink for visual coverage control; SS4044P is equivalent where substrate discolouration is undesirable
- SS4155: general-purpose primer for use with any RTV
- SS4179: adhesion to difficult plastics such as acrylics, ABS and cellulosics
