Is MABAYCO an authorised Momentive distributor?

Yes. MABAYCO is an authorised distributor of Momentive silicone products: RTV silicone adhesives and sealants, potting silicones, mould making silicones and primers.

What is the difference between one-part and two-part RTV silicones?

One-part RTV silicones (e.g. RTV 106, RTV 157, RTV 162) cure with atmospheric moisture at room temperature and are ready to use for sealing and bonding. Two-part silicones (e.g. RTV 615, RTV 60, RTV 664) cure when the base and curing agent are mixed and suit deep-section potting, encapsulation and mould making.

Do I need a primer?

SS4004P, SS4044P, SS4155 and SS4179 primers improve the adhesion of Momentive RTV silicones to metals and plastics. Whether a primer is needed depends on the substrate and the product; see the product TDS.
