RTV 615

Momentive RTV615 is a clear, two-component silicone rubber compound that cures at room temperature to high strength silicone rubber with the addition of curing agent. It is supplied in matched kits for use at a convenient 10:1 ratio by weight. Its low viscosity, easily pourable consistency lets it flow in and around complex parts, and it cures in deep sections without exotherm and with low shrinkage. It is used to protect electronic components and assemblies against shock, vibration, moisture, ozone, dust and chemicals by potting or encapsulation. Its optical clarity lets encapsulated parts be visually inspected and repaired. RTV655 is preferred where flexibility down to −115 °C is required.

• A and B components in matched kits; use only components from the same kit together
• B curing agent must not contact acidic, basic or oxidizing materials
