Momentive RTV157 is a one-component, grey, high-strength acetoxy silicone adhesive sealant. The paste cures to a tough, resilient silicone rubber with atmospheric moisture at room temperature and can be applied to horizontal, vertical and overhead surfaces where high strength and temperature performance are needed.

- Dielectric strength 20.7 kV/mm; volume resistivity 7.5×10¹⁴ Ω·cm
Temperature Performance
- Brittle point: −60 °C (−75 °F)
- Maximum continuous operating temperature: 204 °C (400 °F); intermittent: 260 °C (500 °F)
Directions for Use
- Bonds to many clean metals, glass, ceramics, silicone rubber and some rigid plastics without primer; SS4004P, SS4044P or SS4179 primers for difficult substrates
- Forms a tack-free skin in 30–60 minutes; handling strength in 12–24 hours, full strength in about 7 days
- Do not use in sections thicker than 6 mm (1/4 in); releases acetic acid during cure
