Momentive SnapSil™ RTV142 is a one-component, ready-to-use adhesive sealant that cures at room temperature on exposure to atmospheric moisture to a tough, durable, resilient silicone rubber. Methyl alcohol vapours with low odour, non-corrosive to metals, are released during cure; volatility is low. Its thixotropic paste consistency allows application to vertical and overhead surfaces without sagging. It suits critical electronic adhesive, gasketing and sealing applications where volatile condensable materials must be kept low.

Use
- Bonds to many metals, glass, ceramic, silicone rubber and some rigid plastics without primer; for difficult substrates use SS4004P, SS4044P or SS4179 primer
- Clean surfaces with naphtha or MEK and wipe dry; not for sections thicker than 6 mm
- A 3 mm section cures in approximately 48 hours at 25 °C and 50% RH; parts can be handled after 48 hours; do not exceed 43 °C during cure
- 160 mL (5.4 fl oz) SEMCO® cartridges
