Momentive InvisiSil™ RTV655 is a clear, two-component silicone rubber compound that cures at room temperature to high strength silicone rubber with the addition of curing agent. It is supplied in matched kits for use at a convenient 10:1 ratio by weight. Its low viscosity, easily pourable consistency lets it flow in and around complex parts, and it remains flexible down to −115 °C. It is used to protect electronic components and assemblies against shock, vibration, moisture, ozone, dust and chemicals by potting or encapsulation. Its optical clarity suggests evaluation for potting solar cells and assemblies where component identification is needed; encapsulated parts can be visually inspected and repaired.
