Momentive RTV109 is a one-component, ready-to-use, general purpose silicone adhesive sealant that cures to a tough, durable, resilient silicone rubber on exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature. It is an aluminium coloured, standard strength paste that can be applied to vertical and overhead surfaces where self-levelling products are not practical. It offers self adhesion, low temperature flexibility, excellent weatherability, ozone and chemical resistance, and excellent electrical insulation. It is used for general purpose bonding, sealing, electrical insulation and formed-in-place gaskets. It releases acetic acid vapour during cure; as a moisture curing sealant it must not be used in sections thicker than 6 mm.
