Biobor® MD is a performance additive for marine and over-the-road diesel fuel. It enhances fuel performance and lubricity and lowers exhaust emissions. It raises cetane by up to 6 points for easier cold starting and better combustion. According to the manufacturer it reduces soot emissions by up to 94% and prevents carbon deposits on engine parts; it increased fuel lubricity by 12.5% in the BOCLE test. It lowers the pour point by up to 45 °F and the cold filter plug point (CFPP) by up to 22 °F to prevent gelling, melts ice and prevents refreezing. Sludge dispersants break fuel sediment into particles small enough to pass through filters and injectors, and corrosion inhibitors protect fuel lines and tanks. It is used with Biobor® JF for protection against microbial growth.

- Initial dosage: 8 ounces per 30 gallons of fuel
- Maintenance treatment: 4 ounces per 30 gallons of fuel
