Resorcinol (benzene-1,3-diol) is an industrial chemical intermediate used mainly in rubber adhesion systems, wood adhesives and resins.

- Adhesion systems for reinforced rubber products, including tyres: bonding natural and synthetic rubber to steel, nylon, polyester, aramid, glass and rayon cords
- Room-temperature curing, waterproof wood adhesives
- Resorcinol-formaldehyde resins
- Intermediate for UV absorbers, flame retardants and other specialty chemicals
