Sandstrom Poxylube #859 is a single-component, heat-cured, water-based PTFE dry film lubricant providing lubrication, fluid resistance and corrosion protection, supplied in quart (0.946 L) kits.

- Coefficient of friction: 0.05–0.15 (depending on test method)
- Salt spray, ASTM B117, 0.5 mil film: 700 h on steel; 2,500 h on aluminium (test stopped without failure)
- Cure: 60 min at 300°F (149°C), 25 min at 350°F (177°C), 20 min at 375°F (191°C) or 15 min at 400°F (204°C), timed from part temperature
- Operating temperature: -320°F to +500°F (-196°C to +260°C)
- Shelf life: 12 months from shipment, stored at 50–100°F (10–38°C); protect from freezing
