Momentive DBT is a clear to amber, pourable curing agent based on dibutyl tin dilaurate. It provides a moderate cure with two-component RTV silicone rubber compounds and is used with RTV11, RTV21, RTV31, RTV41, RTV60, RTV88, RTV511, RTV560 and RTV577.
Typical Properties
- Colour clear to amber; pourable
- Viscosity 100 cP; specific gravity 1.05
- Use level 0.1–0.5% by weight of the RTV base compound; moderate cure speed
Use
- Weigh the curing agent into the base compound and mix thoroughly, scraping the sides and bottom of the container
- Cure speed is adjusted by the use level; the TDS gives a cure rate table for each base compound
