Polyken 290FR is a flame retardant fiberglass tape with a coated fiberglass cloth backing and a rubber based adhesive. It is used in cargo pit applications for freight carrying aircraft, seaming and repairing cargo compartment liners, covering pins and rivets, and media blast protection. It has super high tensile strength, resists flame penetration and offers high moisture resistance. The coating protects skin from contact with fiberglass. It adheres aggressively to all surfaces, maintains its seal under heavy loads and resists flagging and lifting; it is Deca-BDE free.
