Polyken 337

Polyken 337 is a multi-purpose foil tape with a 1.75 mil aluminium foil backing and synthetic rubber adhesive. It conforms to corners and joints and is UV, moisture, mould and mildew resistant. The non-solvent adhesive gives low odour and low VOC content with extreme high tack and an aggressive bond to surfaces. UL 723 Classified.

Applications

• Taping joints and seams in duct work for air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems
• Insulation seaming and patching; general purpose industrial and automotive uses

• Total thickness 0.094 mm (3.7 mils); foil thickness 0.044 mm (1.75 mils)
• Adhesion to steel 10.94 N/cm (100 oz/in); tensile strength 24.52 N/cm (14 lb/in)
• Operating temperature 4–93 °C (40–200 °F); smoke developed 10, flame spread 10; VOC <1 g/L
• Liner: polycoated natural kraft paper; standard sizes 48 mm × 46 m and 72 mm × 46 m

Storage

• 16–27 °C (60–80 °F) at 40–60% RH; 36 months from manufacture at 25 °C
